Today, alone in the house once more, I find solace in listening to the gentle patter of raindrops against the roof and window panes.
You strive. You strive for change every other day. Every other day, you call for a good part to help you keep moving towards the next. This longing to be seen and heard grows day by day. Yet you find yourself alone in the dark room, where not a single ray of hope touches the walls of your room or your heart. No one to be seen, no one to be heard; all you can hear is the taps of the rain.
And then it rains—drop after drop wetting your face, a sound of presence, a smell of peace—giving you a sense to be felt and to be seen. It is a delightful joy when it taps on the window and roof to remind you of your beautiful existence here, telling you that there is always the promise of a new dawn in the darkest of nights.
Know this: you are not alone in your struggle. The scars, both seen and unseen, run deep, but you are not without allies. Nature itself weeps for your pain, offering its tears as a salute to your strength and resilience.
Learn the words of Vivian Greene’s by heart;
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
So stand up as I do. Roll your hair as I do, and let your feet flee. Even though you’re within the confines of your walls, your heart and mind remain free. Be blessed and dance with a soothing rhythm and refreshing feel. This is the time to not just survive but embrace the silence.
Let your voice be heard, a chorus of defiance against the silence. Speak your truth, unapologetically and unabashedly, for it is in your words that you reclaim your power.
Find solace in the embrace of those who offer refuge and understanding. Seek spaces where you can be seen, heard, and held without judgment or reservation.
Honor the scars that adorn your skin; they testify to your resilience and strength. Embrace your journey, with all its twists and turns, as a wine to the indomitable spirit within you.
Extend compassion to yourself and to others who walk the path of healing. Recognize that healing is a journey, not a destination and that we are all in this together.
Harness the power of creativity to transform your pain into art. Write, paint, sing—whatever medium speaks to your soul—and let your expression serve as a beacon of hope for others who may be under similar waters as you.
Remember that you and I are not alone, and so is the Claire in my book “Cliare’s Journey.” We are surrounded by a community of warriors united in the pursuit of healing and wholeness. Together, we will weather the storm and emerge stronger, more vibrant, and more alive than ever before.
Read “Claire’s Journey” for further inspiration and guidance. Consider picking up a copy. It’s a story of resilience, courage, and the transformative power of self-expression.
